Without using the 3 R's

To reduce means to cut down on the use of resources.

One example is that we can reduce on fossil fuels.

Reducing our waste we actually cut down on the amount of waste that enters our home.

To reuse means to use items again.

One example of reusing is to reuse water bottles.

Reusing is important because it decreases the amount of waste on the planet.

Recycle

To recycle means to recover a resource from an item and use the recovered resource to make a new item.

One example is that you can recycle your trash and not throw it on the streets.

It is important because a lot of harmful chemicals and greenhouse gasses are released from rubbish in landfill sites.
