STORY OF PROPHET MUSA PBUH

how we can relate to Musa

Questions i would ask Musa (AS)

By: Ayah Musa

Lujane Rashid

If I were one of Prophet Musa's people and I was a believer, I would ask him how I can improve as a muslim and a human. Id also ask him his opinion on things that have controversial debate, and I would simply ask him how I could strengthen my relationship with Allah swt, and how I can secure my place in Jannah.

What we can take from Prophet Musa story is that no matter how many times people knock you down on your beliefs, you keep your head high and be the bigger person. Prophet Musa knew the truth, he knew there was only one God, imagine how frustrating it was for Musa when the people of bani israeel ridiculed him, and called him a liar despite the proof? One word to describe the characteristic Musa had is, patience. Patience is the pavement on the way to success. Without having sabr or having a strong belief on what he was preaching, Musa wouldn’t have been as successful.

Fir'uaan and his followers get punished

What happened after the red sea

Musa and the Israelites had escaped from Egypt with the help of Allah and were now headed for the promised land. Allah tested the Israelites in times of bad while they lived in Egypt. Allah also tested them in times of prosperity after they crossed the Red Sea. Allah wanted the Israelites to strive for the straight path. Some listened but many did not.

When Musa reached the Red Sea, Allah commanded him to strike the water with his rod. When he did the Red Sea miraculously parted and left a straight and narrow path down which Musa guided his people. The Israelites were awed but ran as fast as they could because they heard the hoof beats of the Pharaoh and the Egyptians.

All of a sudden the mountains of water on each side of the narrow path came crashing down. The Egyptians cried out but their voices were cut off by the splash of water on their helpless bodies.

Many people living in Egypt at this time worshiped over 1,400 gods and goddesses

Magicians vs Musa (AS)

Miracles pt 2

Another miracle that was done by prophet Musa was that he made his hand shine brightly. He also made hordes of frogs infest Egypt, and he made swarms of locusts cover all of Egypt. Another miracle Musa presented was he made the water turn to blood.

Allah swt showed Musa two miracles to show fir'uaan and his magicians the miracles to prove that he is a prophet of God and to guide them to on a straight path.

Prophet Musa was ordered to go and perform the miracles, he went and tried to reason with Fir'uaan and showed him the miracles. Then firuaan commanded his magicians to perform the miracles but they were no match for Musa, and they soon accepted islam.

His argument

Musa (AS) and Haroon (AS) were commanded to go to the Pharaoh and invited him towards the true religion and say to him to set free the Israelites. Upon this a dialogue took place between Musa (AS) and the Pharaoh. "We both are messengers of the Lord of all the worlds, (sent with the message) that you must send the children of Israeel with us." When Fir'uaan refused, Musa (AS) said what if we have brought forward clear and apparent proofs? The Pharaoh said, bring forth if you are from the truthful.

How it all started..

Prophet Musa was born in Egypt in 1392 BC to Bani Israel. He had two siblings, Mariam and Haroon.

A short while before prophet Musa was born fir’aun was told that a boy from the Bani Israeel would soon be born and at his hands Firaun's kingdom would be destroyed. Upon hearing this, the cruel king ordered that every male child born to the Bani Israeel should be killed every few years.

Why didn't they accept?

Worldy things like money, status, and power had gotten to the heads of the non believers. Many only worshiped idols because they thought they would get something in return. What Musa (AS) had preached went against their lifestyle and it was hard for them to change.
