Nightmares

Nightmares

Dreams

Nightmares aren't always scary. They can be, but they can also be sad or disturbing. They always have a purpose.

Dreams are most often very happy and cheerful. Sometimes they don't make sense. This is usually because you don't understand or are having problems in your life. Happy and cheerful means your life is going good. Dreams are based on how your life is and its complications.

Sad Nightmares

R.E.M. Sleep

Rapid Eye Movement Sleep. This is what allows you to remember your dream. This is also how dreams are made. While this is happening, you don't move as much in your sleep.

Sad Nightmares are often about family members. If they die, or get disease in the Nightmare, then that doesn't necessarily mean that you want them to die. It most likely means that you're worried about their health. If you haven't seen the person in a while, then the nightmare was most likely caused by you wondering if they're alright.

Troubling Nightmares

N.R.E.M. Sleep

Non - Rapid Eye Movement Sleep. This is when your eyes don't move while you sleep. When they don't move, this cancels the production of your dream. You had part of a dream but you can't remember it.

These are Nightmares that, in a way, predict the future. Abe Lincoln had a dream where he was in the white house with a casket. He asked a guard who died, and they replied, "The president, sir." Another lady had a nightmare where a chandelier landed on her sleeping baby at night. The lady had her baby sleep with her the next night. She woke up to a loud crashing sound. When she went into the baby's bedroom, the chandelier had falle and destroyed the baby's crib.
