In 1982 he released a comedy album titled Eddie Murphy: Comedian. In the same year, he landed his first major motion picture role in 48 Hours. He continued acting in several movies. These include the Dr.Doolittle movies, Mulan, Daddy Daycare, the Shrek movies, and Tower Heist. His most recent movie was Mr. Church (2016).

Education and Inspiration

Era of Importance

Eddie Murphy was never a dedicated student. He was always so distracted by comedy that he never ended up doing any of his work. Because of this, he ended up having to be held back in the tenth grade. He was inspired by the television shows he watched as a child mostly. He always did impressions of his favorite characters, like Bugs Bunny. His mother has even said that he never talked in his own voice!

Eddie Murphy has been relevant for the majority of his life. He went onto Saturday Night Live when he was only 19 (he is now 55), and he has been making comedy, and been in movies ever since.
