Uner Tan Syndrome

-Symptoms:

-Walk on all fours

-Lack of muscle coordination

-Slow, poor speech

-Significantly incomplete cognitive development

-No change in lifespan.

Severe Combined Immunodeficiency Disorder

Difficulties:

-Almost complete inability to converse with other people and physical limitations make earning money difficult.

Symptoms-Improper development of T cells and B cells, which will lead to severe infections and diseases like pneumonia.

Lifespan- A few years maximum in a normal environment. Slightly shorter if in a sterile environment. Normal lifespan if cured by a bone marrow transplant from parents or even better, siblings.

Difficulties- Must live in isolated environment if not cured.

Marfan Syndrome

  • Difficulties living with this condition: Marfan syndrome most commonly affects the heart and blood vessels causing many life threatening complications

  • the main symptoms: people with Marfan syndrome commonly have long finger, legs,arms,, toes, and re typically taller than others.

  • The change in life span: The average person with Marfan syndrome lives until they are in their mid 70's.

Hypertrichosis

  • Difficulties living with the symptom: Hypertrichosis is a rare diseased that normally causes cancer later in your life.

  • The main symptoms: Hypertrichosis causes excessive hair growth often confined to the face. The nose and the eye lids are the most common places for the hair to grow.

  • The change in life span: This disease causes cancer later in your life and that cancer can shorten your lifespan.

Tourette's Syndrome

Symptoms-Involuntary muscle/motor movements and vocal sounds, called tics.

-Simple movements include spontaneous movements of one muscle group, including actions like eye-blinking,lip-licking,shoulder shrugging, head jerking,sniffing grunting,throat-clearing, and uttering single syllables.

-Complex movements involve spontaneous movement of multiple muscles, producing actions like touching objects, jumping,spinning around,and uttering meaningless phrases.

-No change in lifespan.

Difficulties: Often produces inappropriate language, which, along with the other factors, can cause embarrassment. Bullying at an early age.
