How the maglev train works

COST

they cost about 5 mill. dollars per train that is american dollars. to build the train it cost

work cited page

HOW THEY WORK

SPEED

they go about 361 miles per hour they are very fast and advanced.. High-speed maglev trains promise dramatic improvements for human travel if widespread adoption occurs

LEVITATION

THERE ARE MANY MAGNETS ON THE TRAK THE TRACK IS LIKE A TUNNEL AND THE TRAIN LEVITATES WITH IN IT

no actual contact with rails.

there is a magnetic cord that holds the train uo with out any actual contact with the magnetic rails

LOCATIONS

Locations

include :

china, japan, Germany, the us, and many countrys in Europe

THE TRACK

The magnetized coil running along the track, called a guideway, repels the large magnets on the train's undercarriage.

these trains can move up to 361 miles per hour

they are mostly used in china but some in the us

how it stops starts and works

they are magnets that are polar opposites so it levatates and the magnets on the side attract so it propels the train and when the train wants to stop the magnets flip to pull the train down onto the track.

there are about 10 in the world and about 2 in the U.S

Magnetic Levitating Train

has there been accidents

these trains are fast and use magnetic levitation to move around on the track.

An accident involving the Transrapid -- a train using magnetic levitation technology to travel at speeds up to 450 kph (270 mph) -- in the northern German state of Lower Saxony has left several people dead on Friday

they also can carry many passengers at once.
