I'm flying Delta out of JFK to CDG on Thursday November 5 departing at 7:12PM and arriving at 8:35AM, and returning Thursday November 12, it cost $783 round trip (with free wifi)

Notre-Dame Cathedrale- Constuction was startedin 1163 and finished in 1545.

Cathedrale built on monumental scale.

The French revolution damaged the cathedrale but was restored in the 19th century.

The Gallery of Kings has 28 satues of Jueden kings and higher up are the famous gargoyles.

L'Arc de Triomphe- constuction was orderd by Napoleon Bonapart in 1806 and was finished in 1836.

The total cost was 8.3 million French francs.

Names of the first 128 battles of the French revolution are written on the walls.

Construction was paused between 1814 and 1826 due to the exile of Napoleon.

Catacombes de Paris- Are underneath Paris.

Corpes where placed in the catacombs when the graveyards where filled.

The French resistence had a base underground in the catacombs.

La Tour Eiffel- Was not intende to be permenant and was supposed to be destroyed in 1909 but it became a radio antenna.

It started as a fortress

The Louvre became a clearing house for the Nazi's for stolen artwork during WWII

The Mona Lisa wasn't always on display at the Louvre

Day 1: First I'm going to Le Louvre, then Musee d'Orsay.
