Observation

We, as a 4th year student of Father Saturnino Urios University.We are required to undergo the what we called OJT "OnJob Training" as a part of our requirements in Business Administration Program Major in Marketing Management. We are the one who choose what company to apply for an OJT. As a group we have undergo our OJT at Philippine Arlines Company-Butuan. We ask permission to the branch manager which is Ms. Shiela Barraquias to have our OJT there. She accept us as a OJT trainee. We are so excited for our OJT, because we are expecting to learn someting new and how to control feelings and attitude in an actual office scenario.

On my On Job Trainng I have observe everyone should be alert and attentive at the same time and can't afford to commit mistake because it will affect the operation. Despite every busy, they nevr fail to put a smile on there face especially the workers because positive energy helps work berable.

Participation

Interaction

As a trainee we are required to participate in making surprises for those workers who promote in higher position and workers having a birthday party.

December 21, 2013 we are also participate in having a PAL Christmas Party. It was a memorable and we have so much fun.

My interaction with my co-workers was good because they were approchable and they are welling to share there knowledge to us.

They are also friendly, they even invite us trainees to joi them when they have small gatherings outside the work.

My interaction with the passengers are professional beacause it was our job to e professional during our work time as much as possible

Challenges

Problem

The main problem of Phlippine Airlin was having a cancelation of the flight due to the weather problem.

I was challenge to do good on the operation area for me to experience facing different people, having a time manangement, responsible on the task given, and to manage different situation having a good relationhip with other people.

First day in the morning November 19, 2013, 6:00 at PAL Office, Butuan City Airport, We wear a formal attire to look like a being professional as an OJT. We have to schedule Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday morning for our duty. The manager gave us an instruction on what to do and we directly start. We are enjoying what we are doing and all of the workers are approchable and easily to be with. We are assign to work at the check in area and ticketing office. After the operation we also help in encoding, printing, and arranging things. we learn many things.

We learned more about what OJT means and to be patient is more important when you have relationship to the other people especially when you do not know them well. I had encounet different attitudes between clients and employer. They have more jokes than us and we have to be sports and control our feelings. We meet new friends inside the company.

Accomplishments

I am very glad because I have Accomplished the wok in our On Job Training. On my On Job Training I have Accomplished my goals in the operation area where I encounter different situation. I greet everyone a good morning with a big smile. I do all the task that has given me and help others. All are attentive and alert in the operation.

Impact of Field Specialization

The environment where I had my On Job Training had some impact on me. I built good relationship with my co-workers and co-trainees and also with the passengers. My experience was harmoneous and the good environment help me to have positive vibes as I do my works.
