Where do I see myself in 5 years?
I see myself having finished a digital media degree and hopefully working on a business degree. Or working for a company as a Desktop Publisher.
When I was 13 my family moved to Vancouver and starting attending Christ Church Cathedral. While I was there I joined the Youth Group and did volunteer work for different non-profit organizations before being asked to work as the nursery attendant.
While continuing work at Christ Church I also started working at Starbucks just down the street from Kitsilano beach. I worked with many different people with different experiences and our customers all had different stories that I was able to hear.
Last summer I moved back to Williams Lake and began work at the Starbucks at Safeway. I worked there for 5 months before making the decision to leave.
While I was still working at Starbucks I also accepted a position at Staples working in the copy and print center. I have been working there since October and have learned many new skills in the process.
Some of the Computer Programs I have learned to use, be it from work or other sources, are Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), Prezi, Adobe Acrobat.
I also have experience in office work. I've done things such as filing, collating, stuffing and organizing packages for meetings
After 13 years of school I speak English and French fluently, and I also do substantive and copy editing.
