Introduction
1. What is Liberty?
Let me begin by defining what I mean by Liberty.
Liberty:
1.
a. The condition of being free from restriction or control.
b. The right and power to act, believe, or express oneself in a manner of one's own choosing.
c. The condition of being physically and legally free from confinement, servitude, or forced labor.
2. Freedom from unjust or undue governmental control.
3. A right or immunity to engage in certain actions without control or interference.
2. How does the Obama intrusion inhibit religious liberty?

Of the 196 words in the agreement, God is stated four times and Christian once.
4. How Are Catholic ideas of Liberty compatible with the Founders?
For American Roman Catholics our Liberty, or freedom, is understood as a gift from God.
Locke deserves repetition to understand his point.
What do people gain when they agree to give up some of their freedoms to be bound by the laws of society?
Individuals give up a portion of their freedom with the intention of better preserving themselves, their liberty, and property.
Locke concludes that:
"The supreme power of any commonwealth is bound by laws to employ the force of the community domestically or abroad to prevent or redress foreign injuries, and secure the community from inroads and invasion" (IX, Sec. 131).
According to the Declaration of Independence, what is the purpose of government?
The Catholic Bishops’ web site provides a recap of some of the profound statements about personal expression that were made by George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison.
5. If Americans and Catholics agree on Liberty why are so many confused with the difference between a Democracy vs. a Republic?
What is the difference between a democracy and a republic?
How are we to understand the political spectrum?
Into this political spectrum, where would you place the TEA Party? Obama?
Finally, who is the extremist?
What is a democracy?
What is the flaw in democracy?
What does the word Republic mean?
6. How do the elites, or the oligarchs who run our country today govern?
The progressive ideology of governing Americans is an oligarchy. Oligarchy derives from the Greek ὀλιγαρχία (oligarkhía); from ὀλίγος (olígos), meaning "a few", and ἄρχω (archo), meaning "to rule or to command").
Robert Michels, a German sociologist, believed that any political system eventually evolves into an oligarchy. He called this the "iron law of oligarchy."
