Henry Ford & The Model T

At the beginning of the 20th century the car was a toy for the rich. Most models were complicated machines that needed a chauffeur knowledgeable with its individual mechanical details to drive it. Henry Ford was decided to build a simple, reliable and low priced car. A car the average American worker could afford. Out of this strong desire decision about - two inventions of new things that totally changed and improved American community of people and molded the world we live in today.Henry Ford did not invent the car; he produced a car that was within the money-based reach of the average American. While other manufacturers were content to target a market of the well to do, Ford developed a design and a method of manufacture that steadily reduced the cost of the Model T. Instead of pocketing themoney, Ford lowered the price of his car. As a result, Ford Motors sold more cars and steadily increased its earnings - changing the car from an (expensive and desirable) toy to a mainstay of American.

The story of the Model T had to come to an end, but it started a revolution n American Society that changed how people lived.

Henry Ford

Henry Ford was a one of a kind type of man, who became very succesful with his ideas.

  • Henry Ford was born on July 30, 1863 in Dearborn, Michigan
  • Henry Ford perished in April 7, 1947 at the age of 83
  • He was a self-made man who became a world famous American industrialist and the founder of the Ford Motor Company.

Conclusion

In end result, the Model T improved peoples lives because it united families, improved working conditions, improved social lives between couples, and it was used in many different ways. In this century there were many inventions barely getting made but the Model T became very famous and helpful to people. Before they had no cars so they would walk, ride trains, and ride horse. But as soon as they invented the Model T millions of them were sold very fast. As a result the Model T became so big that Ford kept on manufacturing cars even to this day, such as trucks, sports cars, suv's and more.

Although the Model T wasn't the fastest at its time, it was reliable to take u anywhere.

  • its 22-horsepower, four-cylinder engine could propel the 1,200-pound car to a top speed of between 35 and 40 miles an hour

  • Meanwhile, the driver shifted the two-speed planetary transmission with foot pedals.
