THE SOLUTION

It was hard to determine who to do business with since both Dr. Roland and Dr. Jones want The Ugli Oranges for good cause.

Dr. Roland’s company only needs the rind of the Ugli orange and Dr. Jones needs the juice, the best solution was for both companies to work together and use the resource from the oranges that they required.

CHARACTERS

  • Both firms will make an offer to Mr. Cardoza of paying 60% of their budget each to purchase the Ugli oranges and cover the transportation.
  • The negotiators trust one another because we had put all the fact on the table then determine which case will be more profitable in a long term.

  • Only 4,000 of these oranges were produced this season.
  • And only 3,000 are available.

50% = Purchase the oranges

10% = Process of separating the rind and the juice and shipping them to the respective companies.

40% = Invesments for growth of the oranges for future use.
