Maurice and Mort are father and son. Their family was born around the time of the Great Depression. They both go on in time to make some of the Greatest Decisions and deals that set their lifestyle apart from others at the time. They did things like selling cable businesses for tens of millions of dollars, to closing titles for twenty five dollars. Things dont happen for no reason, they happen because of being in the right place at the right time.
Gladwell begins his story about Alexander Bickel, someone who was just like jom throughtout hiuccess. He was a jewish man who wanted to make a success of himself. Bickel had written books and had a great reputation. The only thing that stood in his way was his "antecedents" of being Jewish. Gladwell and Bickel set their minds to never end up like the "white-shoe" fims.
