In conclusion I am very very excited for May 7th the day of confirmation this is my Saint that I chose , why I chose him , and all about him.

How does Saint Philip Neri inspire me?

The reasons why he inspires me is because of how much he helped out alot with the poor so if I end up getting a good paying job that I enjoy I will try my best to give back and help out just like Saint Philip Neri did.

What qualities and characteristics do I admire about Saint Philip Neri?

I know I have been very repetitive and mentioned this 3 or 4 time but the main quality I admire alot is obviously his sense of humor. I also admire how humble he was , the reason why we are doing this project which is confirmation , some of it connects to how Saint Philip Neri was , we learned about the 9 fruits of the holy spirit and the 7 gifts of the holy spirit and one of the gifts is counsel and if you were to have counsel it means you are able to give good advice and he used it wisely when he heard confessions wisdom is also a gift of the holy spirit. I have also mentioned how humble he was a couple of times humility is a fruit of the holy spirit so it all ties in.

Why did I choose Saint Phillip Neri as my saint?

I chose Saint Philip Neri because he is humorous and he loves to put a smile on people's faces that is a quality that I like and I try to have. Another reason why I chose Saint Philip Neri is he did lots to help out with charities and the people that dont have all that we have he is somebody I am able to look up to on his humorous side.

How can I be a modern day saint?

I can be a modern day saint by paying it forward and being alot more thankful for all that I was blessed with, my talents, the roof over my head, my clothes, the food I eat every day, the clean water I drink, and all those extra items that aren't needed. I can also try too help out with any community in any way that I am capable of. So just being a helping hand to anybody at anytime in general.

How can Saint Philip Neri guide me throughout my life?

As I researched about my saint he made many mistakes as a teenager before dedicating his life to God. But he learned from his mistakes and so if I make any mistakes which I most likely will , I will also learn from my mistakes as he did and make the right choice in any situation. I can also look back at how generous he was and consider trying what he did as well.

Saint Philip Neri became a Saint in 1622 he became a Saint because of how humble, wise, and giving he was, he did lots of charity work and gave great advice.

Important/Relevant Information About Saint Philip Neri

Saint Philip Neri was the third apostle of Rome after Saints Peter & Paul. He decided to get serious about his roman catholic faith and dedicate his life to God at age 18. He became a priest in 1551 at age 36. Night was Saint Philip Neri's special time of prayer , after dawn he would go into the streets, sometimes churches, but most of the time the tomb of St Sebastian. During one of these times a ball of light enetered his mouth and travelled to his heart he then felt closer to God, the he began to start helping out the poor, the ill , and the less fortunate. Saint Philip Neri learned to love to hear confessions, young men and women found him wise and found that he gave great advice.

Saint Philip Neri showed and brought lots of joy the reason why he is the patron saint of joy/the humorous side of holiness is because as a priest he always tried to make people laugh, to make them happy , to put them in a good mood, or just put a smile on somebodys face. Although he was still very serious about his bible studies. Saint Philip Neri was also known for being very humble , humility was one of the most importat virtues he taught to others. When he was asked how to pray he answered be humble and willing to respect others requests and the holy spirit will guide you.
