Titan was one of the greatest artists of the High Renaissance. He developed an oil painting technique influencing generations of artists. Titian's work was so sought after that he had developed a degree of freedom for artistic abilities rarely seen before. He was the first artist to gain the status of a gentle man. It is argued that Titian could have been a better painter than Michelangelo.

Masaccio was one of the major creators of the Renaissance style of painting. He was one of the first artists to begin using linera perspective and vanishing point. He was of equal influence on the formation of Renaissance art as Donatello and Brunelleschi.

Michelangelo's genius influenced generations of yonger artists. None of his flowers were a match for his genius thoughts. His sculptures, painting, and poetry helpt shape the spirituality of the Renaissance movement.

Leonardo was the most technically adventurous and versatile artist of the Renaissance period. Aside from being a painter, he was also an architect, musician, mathematician, engineer, and inventor. He worked slowly and had a hard time completing anything he started, the main reason he left Florence in 1482 and went to work in Milan for Sforza dictators where he was given all the time needed to complete projects. Leonardo's work was the foundation of the Renaissance style in art as well as scientific study of botany, anatomy, physiology and medicine.

the ceiling standing up on a scaffold.

He was so miserable from the awkward

position that he wrote a poem about it.

The Mona Lisa is acclaimed as the best known, most visited, and mosparodied work of art in the world. The painting is currently property of the French Republic and displayed at The Louvre museum in Paris.

The portrait of a man in red chalk is believed to be a self portrait of Leonardo himself at age 60. The drawing is located at the Royal Library in Turin, Italy. It is not viewable by the public due to its fragile condition.

The Last Supper is one of the world's most famous paintings. The painting portrays the reactions of the disciples of Jesus after Jesus announced that one of them would betray him.

Michelanelo created no paintings after painting the Sistine Chapel ceiling in 1526. This painting was the first since and one of his last.

Located at the Dominican church of Santa Maria Novella, in Florence, this painting is considered to be one of Masaccio's masterpieces.

An oil painting now located in Resden depicts a story from the Bible when Christ is shown a coin that says "Render unto Caesar what is Caesars."

Located in Rome, this painting shows the death of Christ. Raphael learned from Michelangelo and shows off his skills with the human anatomy.
