What is abortion?

Stages of Development

  • Zygote-A single celled human being in the womb
  • Embryo-After the first cell division until the eighth week of development
  • Fetus-After the eighth week of life up until birth

By definition, abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy.
