In World War 1 Chief Joe Dreaver was with the 107th battalion and he had fought alongside men and there names were Tom Longboat and also Brigadier Martin. In World War 2 he had enlisted for another 4 years and he was serving as a member of the veterans guard of Canada in Medicine Hat.

Chief Joe Dreaver was born sometime in the 1800's his father was Chief George Dreaver who was also a chief for about fifty-five years then chief Joe Dreaver was chief for about fourty-years the place he was chief for is at the Mistawasis Cree nation.
He served in both of the world wars but in the first war his role was a sapper which is kind of like a engineer but in the army. In World War two he had brought 17 men along with him, three were his sons and also two of his daughters. They had also had served at the time by World War two he was age 48 and that is to old for oversea battles so he had decided to stay in Canada at Medicine Hat which is located in south east Alberta.
This is what Chief Joe Dreaver said in his own words "Give us the responsibility, and we shall be found to be worthy of it".
Chief Joe Dreaver was awarded a medel for his brave service in the at the battle of Ypres. The other medels he had earned were two Coronation Medels, a Confederation Canada Medel, and he had also got a second world war medel for his service and he had also got The Great War Medel.
During world war 1 the second battle of Ypres had occured from April 22 to the 25 of may 1915 to get control of the town Ypres which is located in western Belgium right after the previous battle of Ypres that happend in autumn, Chief Joe Dreaver had also taken place in this war.
