Advantages and Disadvantages of Urban, Suburban, and Rural Living

By Patrick Prochazka

Conclusion

In conclusion, all three types of communities have their own advantages and disadvantages. People with an bustling lifestyle would prefer city life, while those who want privacy would prefer rural life. People have different lifestyles and would choose to live in the community that would suit them best. If I were given a choice of where to live, I would live in an urban area because of the wide variety of entertainment and good education.

  • Up-keeping land is difficult
  • Lack of entertainment

  • Privacy and space
  • Little pollution
  • Beautiful landscape / natural beauty

Suburban Living

Advantages:

  • Safer than urban communities
  • Affordable
  • Close to amenities

Disadvantages:

  • Townhouses: cramped living and lack of aesthetics

  • Can still be crowded

Introduction

There are 3 different types of communities:

  • Urban areas are characterized by denser population and wider cultural diversity.
  • Suburban areas are located at the outskirts of cities, where more affordable residential communities reside.
  • Rural areas are located away from cities and are characterized by low population density.

In this presentation, the advantages and disadvantages of each community will be analyzed.
