A lot of the students had used a device for others to better understand them.
1. The first person that had used technology to better excel is Travis from the MAC program. Whenever he needs something or wants to tell something to someone he would.
2. The second person that had used the technology was Kaleb. Kaleb had used it for the same reason although Kaleb is a little better with his speech.
3. The third person that used technology was Jared from Heartwood. He had an Ipad that was set up so he could do the daily routine with the class. For instance Mr.Showers had a Sheet he would fill out on his smart board about the day, month, year, weather, ect. When he would ask a question Jared would answer with his Ipad. Jared also likes taking pictures on his ipad.
Every single person that i had interacted with had a positive and joyful attitude about life.
1. My first example is Jenna. I think Jenna has a smile permanately embarked on her face. When we had talked to the MAC program she was excited the whole time.
2. Antother person that seemed to be pretty happy about the person who they are is Q, also from the MAC program. When you talk sports with Q, he has the biggest smile on his face.
3. The third person is Hailee from Heartland in Mr. Showers room. Nobody understands what she is saying but she still rambles on and keeps talking when she is called on but still smiling because she can understand herself.
All of the students had displayed patience in their own way
1. The first person that had displayed a lot of patience was Cody. At the beginning of class we had done a simple learing task activity where everyone would read a story. I had helped Cody read his story slowly word by word and then the full sentence. He never got frustrated and performed extremely well. He answered the follow up questions all correctly.
2. Another person that had displayed a lot of patience was Eric from Heartwood. Eric was extremely cooperative and participated the most during group activities. He would raise his hand and patiently wait to be called on.
3. The next person who had displayed a lot of patience was Zach from the Mac program. When he would respond to the questions that we had asked him he would look down and think about the question and answer properly.
There were a lot pf inspiring moments throughout this unit.
1. The first moment that was inspiring was Danny. His whole story and how he adapted to life only being able to use one hand. He could play basketball way better than the average person and was only using one hand. He could tie his shoe with one had. Then most off all he could play table tennis at the paralympic level and be a good contender.
2. The next person that was inspiring was Nick Vujicic. He was so positive and the way he looked at life was amazing. When he was fishing and playing golf he had looked as if he was enjoying it as much as anyone else would although he doesn't have what everyone else does.
3. The third person that was inspiring was Kyle Maynard. Kyle maynard had become a championship wrestler although he had very little to work with. All of his limbs were not fully capable of what the normal person without a disability could do. The fact he could be that successful in a sport being a four limb amputee is amazing.
