How this Amendment makes our nation a more fair and just place:
Does it protect the life, liberty and
property of the people it affects?
- Giving equal voting rights to the citizens of Washington D.C will protect their life, liberty, and property even more than before our amendment
Is Our Amendment a Legitimate Exercise of Government Authority?
- This amendment makes our nation more fair and just, by granting resident of Washington DC the same voting rights of the rest of the nation
- Yes, the government's authority will be used to better the equality of all citizens.
- Therefore, we believe citizens of the United States will conform to the laws stated in this amendment, making it legitimate.
We hereby propose
the 28th Amendment:
The District of Columbia shall be entitled to exactly one member in the Senate, as well as representation in the House of Representatives. This representation shall be determined by the District of Columbia's reported population in the United States Census.
