Nucleus: Main/Control Office

The Nucleus is the Main/Control Office because as in the Cell, the Nucleus controls the functions of the cell. In the same matter, the Main office controls the Park. Therefore, the Nucleus is the Main Office.

Mitochondria: Power Supply

The Mitochondria is the power supply of the Amusement park because the function of a Mitochondria is to produce energy by breaking down sugar molecules. Thus, the Mitochondria is the power supply of the amusement park.

Ribosomes: The Food Stalls

The individual food stalls inside of the park represent the ribosomes, because in cells, the ribosomes are involved in protein synthesis, as they are very important in making the proteins that will be used by the cells. In this comparison, the food represents the proteins and the food stalls make the food just like the ribosomes help make the protein.

Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum: The Food Court

The entire food court in the amusement park represents the rough endoplasmic because in the cell, the rough endoplasmic reticulum makes the protein, and it has the ribosomes attached, where in the amusement park, the food court makes the food, and there are a lot of food stalls (ribosomes) around the food court.

Photosynthesis: Water Slide (Black Hole)

In comparison to an Amusement park, photosynthesis would be the Water Slide (Black Hole) because each person on the slide can represent the solar energy and once the person falls in the pool, this can represent being turned into sugar as the ride has finished.

Vacuoles: Swimming Pool (White Water Bay)

The Vacuole can represent the Swimming pool (White Water Bay) because each person can be substituted as a substance being stored as the Vacuole is an organelle that stores vital need for survival and waste to prevent the rest of the cell from contamination.

Nuclear Membrane: Main/Control Office

Fencing (Perimeter Block)

The Nuclear Membrane is the fence/wall around the Main office because a Membrane acts as a protective wall around the organelle which in this case is the Nucleus. So, the Nuclear Membrane is the Fence around the Main Office.

Chloroplasts: Solar Panels

The Chloroplasts are Solar Panels because the purpose of the Chloroplasts is to use photosynthesis to produce sugar. As in the Amusement park, the Solar Panels use photosynthesis to produce energy. Therefore, the Chloroplasts are solar panels in the amusement park.

Cell Membrane: Park Perimeter Fencing

The Cell Membrane would be the perimeter fencing of the Amusement park because in a cell, it is a barrier that surrounds the cell. Therefore, the Cell Membrane is the perimeter fencing of the Amusement park.

Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum: Dinosaurs Alive

The “Dinosaurs Alive” sub park would represent the smooth endoplasmic reticulum because in a cell, the smooth endoplasmic reticulum is a folded organelle that makes lipids and hormones. So in our comparison, the long curly route of “Dinosaurs Alive” would be the smooth endoplasmic reticulum, and the amount of money for the fee of entry will be the lipids and hormones.

Diffusion: The spreading of people from the main entrance

The spreading of people from the main entrance, when the park opens, to all around the park represents diffusion because diffusion is the process in which particles move from an area of high concentration into an area of low concentration. In this comparison, the people represent the particles, and the area of high concentration would be the main gate, when the park opens.

Osmosis: The people exiting the park at night

The people exiting the park at night represent osmosis because osmosis is the diffusion of a solvent through a semipermeable membrane from an area of lower concentration of the solute to an area of higher concentration of the solute until the solute concentration balances out. In this comparison, the people are the solvent and the cars and trucks are the solute, since they can’t enter the park, so people leaving represents osmosis since there are more cars outside then in the amusement park.

Lysosomes: The Compost Bins

The compost bins represent the lysosomes, because in cells, the lysosomes are the organelles that degrade waste inside of the cell. In this comparison, the compost represents the waste that gets degraded into the compost bin, with the compost bin being the lysosome.

Cytoplasm: The Walkways

The walkways inside the amusement park represent the cytoplasm because in the cell, the cytoplasm is a gel-like substance that covers most of the interior of the cell and surrounds the organelles. In comparison the walkways cover everything inside the amusement park and it surrounds all of the rides, food courts and other stuff.

Golgi Apparatus: International Street

International Street in Wonderland represents the Golgi apparatus because in the cell, the Golgi apparatus absorbs the transition vesicles and puts it into a secretion vesicle where it will be ready to leave the cell. In this comparison, the people represent the transition and secretion vesicles and International street is the lane before you exit just like the Golgi apparatus is the last stop before the protein leaves the cell.

Cell Wall: Outer Park Wall (w/ Parking lot)

The Cell wall is the outer wall of the park including the parking area because as represented in a cell, the cell wall protects the cell and surrounds the membrane as the membrane surrounds the cell organelles. So, the Cell Wall is the Outer wall including the parking lot.
