The research that I have done has shown the increasing dislike of killer whales in captivity since the 1960's. That captivity kills, there are over a hundred recorded whale deaths at seaworld. That illness are common, along with a collapsed dorsal fin, drilled teeth that are worn down from chewing on the concrete and metal bars, and abnormal behaviors. Which do lead to aggression to the other whales and trainers. There are signs of depression and loneliness among the whales, specifically a large bull named Tilikum. Who is not allowed any human interaction.
“Much as nootka and haida had clobbered him at sealand, some of the florida females-Katina in particular- often raked the newcomer with their teeth.”

“But as Naomi gradually combed through the papers at HSUS, she realized that seaworld’s gauzy prescription for contentment did not take into account the stress of captivity, which seemed to increase the risk of physical and mental disorders that can produce immune dysfunction, infections, reproductive, problems, and potentially lethal aggression among the whales.”

by David Kirby
This book questions captivity and seaworld's whale shows. The book compares the life of whales in captivity and the wild. There are significant differences between the life of whales in the wild than at seaworld. The book shows the healthy issues and behavioral problems with the whales living in the confined environment that they are.

This drawing really shows what life is like in the eyes of the whales. The quotes on the side give the observer a visual of what parks like seaworld are doing to protect their industry.

Yes, we still need to learn from them. But limited not for shows and entertainment. - Katie williams
It is not really needed anymore. We know about these animals and should not have them in captivity anymore. - Emma macaulay
All the interviews agreed in the fact that they whales are not healthy were they are and that using whales for entertainment is not right.
