The Degar culture

The Degars aided the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, so they fled, but the U.S. military resettled some of them in North Carolina.

People often mistaken the Degar people as Vietnamese, but they are not.

This culture is a dying out culture because of the United States because we tried to wipe out the Vietnamese.

Some of the foods they ate was rice, beans and etc. They would eat all different meats like wild chicken, deer, and fish. Their clothing involves bright colors and they made their clothing.

Respect their traditions.

They drink a rice wine when celebrating special occasions.

Respect their people and elders.
