The Daintree Rainforest is 135 million years old and approximatley 1,200 kilometers square and it is the largest rainforest in Australia.

Where Is It Located?

The Daintree Rainforest is located in Cairns tropical Queensland.

The Climate & Temperture

The Daintree Rainforest temperaturec is normaly a maximum of 32 C in the summer and 25 C in the winter.

There is 4 layers of a rainforest

Emegant layer: The Emergant layer gets the most sunlight and only a few trees can get through, some trees are as tall as a skyscaper.

Canopy Layer: The Canopy Layer is the primary layer of the forest. Only some animals live there such as snakes, toocans and treefrogs.

Understory Layer: The Understory Layer only gets little sunshine so that means that the leaves have to grow larger than other plants so they can survive.
