Early Life
Fruto Chamorro was First President of Nicaragua from April 1 1853 to April 30 1854 and then with the official tittle as a President from April 30 1854 and March 12 1855.
Events that happened During
Fruto Chamorro's Presidency
Fruto Chamorro Perez was born in Guatemala on October 20 1804. His parents were Pedro Jose Chamorro and Josefa Perez. When Fruto Chamorro became the first president of Nicaragua, he influenced his brothers, Pedro Joaquin Chamorro and Fernando Chamorro.
-On July 13 1854 The US army attacked bombed and shelled San Juan del Norte, Nicaragua.
-On June 1st 1855 William Walker arrived in Nicaragua and conquered it also, reestablished slavery.
-The Nicaraguan Liberal forces hired William Walker to destroy the Conservative opposition. Later, William Walker conquers Nicaragua.
Fruto Chamorro died March 12 1855. He still was the president of Nicaragua when he died. A few months later, William Walker attacked Nicaragua.
