It works when air around the tube heats the liquid
expands and moves up the tube it shows the tempeture.

The barometer was invented by an atalian scientest named torricelli built the first barometer in 1643. Also it is used for to measure air pressure it tells you whether or not the pressure is falling or rising. It has arrows,it is round, and has lots of numbers on it. A rising barometer means sunny and dry conditions,while a falling barometer means stormy and wet conditions.
