  • Survey was sent to all students who took the NAVLE during the November/December 2014 testing window

Comments About School Review Sessions

When did you start studying?

  • Many times the sessions were at poor times

  • "I believe that some were very helpful while others were not helpful at all. I think it depended on the instructor that was holding the review and their teaching style."

  • "It was nice to get a refresher on important boards topics!"

  • "The information that was relevant to boards, one would already know if they did any of the study programs (zuku or vetprep). There was very little extra. "

  • Session success tended to be instructor-dependent

Although over 60% of respondents had access to school-led NAVLE reviews, over 45% of them did not utilize them. Of those who attended the sessions, almost 60% reviewed the sessions as only "somewhat useful"

  • Nearly 50% of students felt that their starting month was appropriate

  • 37.8% of students felt that their starting month was too late
