We will learn that in history people started getting fed up with their monarchs and wanted a new type of government.

King or queen is the head of the government but their powers are limited by a Parliament (makes the laws) and a constitution (set of laws).

Power is passed down through family OR monarch is elected.

With your partner, predict why people might not like an absolute or constitutional monarchy.
