Alison Ashley:

Alison Ashley lives at the end of Hedge Road. She is an only child and gets spoilt, yet she gets neglected sometimes by her mother .She is very neat, has ravishing clothes and is very healthy.

Erica Yurken:

Erica lives in Baringa East with her mother, Lennie (her mother's boyfriend) and her sister Valjoy. Erica is very jealous of Alison's privileged life. She is very arrogant and believes she is the best there is and wants to do it all. When she grows up, she would like to be an actress. The book is from her perspective.
