The Litani River - Leontes, an important water resource in southern Lebanon. The river rises in the abundant Beqaa Valley, west of Baalbek, and empties into the Mediterranean Sea north of Tyre. The Litani River has the length of 140 km, it's the longest river in Lebanon and provides an average flow estimated at 920 million cubic meters per year. The waters of the Litani both start and flow entirely within the borders of Lebanon. It provides a major source for water supply, irrigation and hydroelectricity within southern Lebanon, in the whole country as well.

The Hasbani River, people also known as Sinr Stream within Israel, is small stream of the Jordan river. It runs for 25 miles in Lebanon before crossing the border, joining with the Banias and Dan Rivers at north of Israel, and formed the Jordan River. The river also created a border between Lebanon and the Golan Heights, and it's about four kilometers downstream of Ghajar.
