She became a member of the Communist Party USA and joined the Black Panther Party in this year, while she was also teaching in UCLA. The following year, she was fired due to her association with the Communist Party, and for using inflammatory language.

In 2010, Davis spoke at the Trinity University, Texas on the occasion of MLK Day Celebration. She expressed her goals for shutting down prisons altogether at the conference.

In this year, Angela Davis became the vice president of the Communist Party, mainly to help rally support for the Democratic Party by convincing the radicals.

Angela Davis was born in Birmingham, Alabama to a service station owner and an elementary school teacher. Davis was surrounded by strong mind considering her parents were also heavily into politics.

Angela Davis attended the 'Eighth World Festival for Youth and Students' in Finland, to meet other young like minded activists like herself. In my opinion, I believe this was the beginning of her fight in activism.

Davis formed the African American Agenda 2000 to bring together African-American feminists after she opposed the Million Man March, opposing the absence of women from the event.

In 1971, Davis was wrongly accused of providing a young prisoner with a gun, due to the fact that the weapon was registered under her name. After this, Davis went on the run and even made the 'Most Wanted' list.
