More energy.
Here is a graph to show how this energy is created. When the snakes eat raccoons energy is caused from eating them.
Energy transferring.
Energy is transferred here because when the hawk eats the snake it creates energy and then the snake goes and eats the frog, which the frogs goes and eats the insects. If any of them become extinct it would be a huge mess, if there were no hawks there would be snakes everywhere!
The top predators (Cougar, Bear,Lnyx ,and Wolf.) These enormous predators will eat the smaller ones. The Cougar would eat the elks. The bears, lynx's, and wolves would eat the salmon fish. The predators create energy, this energy is created by eating the other animals.
The owls food chain has an abundance of energy from the different types of animals and plants that get eaten. The owl will eat the mouse, the mouse would eat the berries and the nuts. It'll certainly keep on going on and on and on.
Here is an energy pyramid, the cougar eats the elks and the elks will eat grass, shrubs and possibly even eat small trees. There is energy when cougars eat the elks and the elks eat the shrubs.
