What makes the Conyo culture common amongst Lasallians?

Analysis and conclusion

1. Social class

2. Education background (what high school did they graduate from)

3. Taglish is spoken at home or under the influence of parents.

4. Easier form of communication

Based on our observations, we can say that the conyo culture slightly deviates from the local norms because conyo people dress differently, they speak differently and they hang out with then kind (some may say they're elitists).

Our enthography was successful in finding out what the culture really is and because of that we were able to understand this culture a lot more.

Observation - Manner of speaking

Not all conyo people speak in the so called "carabao english" manner all the time. Although this manner is used by many, some conyo people still prefer speaking in Tagalog more. During our observation, some have spoken in Taglish while some stuck to Tagalog.

What exactly does "Conyo" mean?

Where can one find a Conyo person in DLSU?

1) Coño (colonial definition) - (n.) literally meaning cunt

- A mix of predominant Spanish with English and Tagalog

2) Conyo (modern 2014) - A term used to describe people of the higher class and who are conscious about their social status.

Modern day Conyo (elitist)

Colonial Coño (Spanish Mestiza)
