What is Myopia?

Affected Eyes

Myopia (or Nearsightedness) is

a common refractive error in the eye. For people diagnosed, close objects appear clear, but objects that are far away appear blurry.

Myopia can also be because the eyeball has an abnormal length or if lens are too thick.

It is an eye defect where the focal point is very near to the lens and the image is focused in front of the retina when seeing distant objects.

Sometimes, people affected with Myopia have eyestrain and headaches from straining their eyes to see movies or T.V. shows.
