After I acheive my goal I think for the most part I will feel better about myself. Also, I will be happy because if I can be a successful leader with good tactics but also a good attitude, there is nothing lacking in my leadership qualities.
One "ladder" that is a part of being me achieving my goal is results. Say for example if I am training somebody in a new area and they successfully grasp the concept, then they brag about how helpful and thoughtful I was. That is motivation and helpful to me because if I know that me being more patient and understanding makes people feel good about themselves and myself then I will want to continue that behavior.
Learning how to be patient is the first step in working on my approach to leading a group. In order to do that, I have to work on how I talk to people, my facial expressions and my overall approach when I am at work and talking to people. How you come off is a big part in being a leader and you should want people who are learning from you to comfortable.
My goal is to be able to delegate my peers at work without coming off as mean.
The strengths to my leadership goal is that I can delegate effectively but my weakness is my approach. According to my strengths and weaknesses analysis I am a "do as I say and do" leader. Which means that I want people to have the same expectations, work ethic and dedication as me with everything that they do.
To accomplish my goal I will need to learn how to be more patient with people. I have to understand that everyone does not process things as fast or the same way that I do. This is a "chute" because there will be people that will test my patience and I will have to remember to be mindful of other peoples learning habits.
