A DECISION

If I could choose any feudal social class, I would be the king. The king rules over the land, and takes taxes from the peasants and serfs. They get anything they want, with minimum effort.

Despite the lesser freedom of the feudal manor, at least we have a slightly greater chance of staying alive, since we have protection from the vikings. I make the conscious decision to stay in the feudal manor.

Serfs had to pay most of the grain that they farmed to their lord, and were left with very little.

FEUDAL MANORS

For somebody living in a country like the United States which is constantly becoming more and more secular, I think one of the most surprising things somebody might see in a feudal manor is their church. In feudal Europe, you HAD to go to church, or you'd be beaten, and even worse... Get your hair cut off! For the 80% of Americans that don't go to church every weekend (according to the Huffington Post,) this would be horrible.

NOW, we are protected by knights. We are kept safe from the vikings, and there is law, so we do not have to worry as much about robbers.

In the feudal manor, we are separated into feudal social classes. In the actual manor, lived the lord. Serfs farmed their lord's land.
