To conclude weather lore is not the most accurate form of weather forecasting, and it is barely used now-a-days and it is dated back as far as the bible.

Farmers used weather lore to determine the best time to plant their crops and the weather that would affect their crops. Sailors used weather lore to determine the storms they could face while out on the water.

Throughout the centuries, attempts have been made to produce forecasts based on weather lore and personal observations. Philosophers used their knowledge to prove that this was inaccurate and that they needed proper instruments to accurately tell the weather.

Weather lore is not commonly used today because we now can tell the weather by listening to the radio and watching the news which gets the weather from accurate sources. When weather lore was used it was used to predict the weather, the people who used this found it accurate at the time.
