Fines &

Ovedue Items

BALCONY

THE FACTS

Fines begin at 20p per day for most items.

Students who fail to return books on time will be issued with a fine.

If over £1 worth of fines is accrued, you will no longer be able to borrow items or access PC's.

Once the overdue items are returned and fines paid, you will be allowed to borrow items and access PC's once more.

Do not assume you can always renew items online or over the phone. Remember that someone may have reserved them!

Books are also readable online!

Yeovil College also has thousands of electronic books (or e-books) available.

These can also be accessed from the Library Catalogue or the LRC Moodle page.

Because these are online, you can access them from home!

How the Library Works!

  • You can take out up to eight books at a time.
  • You can borrow for three weeks before they need to be renewed or returned.

LRC TIP:

Toilets are on the left as you walk through the library.

  • Once you find a book on the shelf you wish to borrow, take it to the enquiry desk to have it issued to your Library account.

Remember that you will need to have your student ID card to borrow books!

Searching for Books

You will need your student ID card to access most services in the centre. This includes:

The LRC has an online system called the Library Catalogue that can help you search for books. This can be accessed from the LRC Moodle page...

English & Maths Hub

  • Borrowing books & laptops

  • Booking computers

  • Topping up print credit

  • Resetting passwords

You should always have your ID card on you anyway!
