CELL ANALOGY:

Cell Membrane

The cell membrane protects the cell and regulates what goes in and out.

Hank Tate is the security guard and regulates who comes in and out of the building.

Mitochondria

The mitochondria produces ATP energy for the cell to perform properly.

The sales team is like the mitochondria because they produce sales to keep the company going

Cytoplasm

The cytoplasm is a jelly-like fluid that fills the cell and holds the organelles.

The office space is like the cytoplasm because it's a space for the workers.

Nucleus

The nucleus can be compared to corporate, or the boss, because it contains genetic information of the cell just like how corporate has the information of the whole company.

DNA

DNA is the genetic information. Just like DNA, the company's stocks hold the information of how well the company is doing.

Lysosomes

Endoplasmic Reticulum

Lysosomes clean up the cell and get rid of waste just how the cleaning crew cleans up the office

The ER is a passageway that sends and delivers proteins throughout the cell

The delivery trucks are like the ER because they transport products

Ribosomes

Ribosomes produce proteins that are needed for the cell to function properly.

Toby from HR can be compared to ribosomes because he files paperwork to make sure everyone is working with each other properly

Golgi Body

The golgi body packages and modifies proteins and is analogous to the warehouse where shipments are packaged and sent out
