Creative Process

We decided to guide our audience step by step on how use an Epinephrine Pen by creating a video that demonstrates the process. Also, we will explain the precautions to be taken when using the pen.

Steps

  • Ask the person if they have an epipen
  • Pull the blue cap off
  • Hold pen firmly in your hand
  • Using a great amount of force, stab the epipen into the person's thigh from the side
  • Hold for about 10 seconds
  • After pulling out the epipen, rub the area for about 10-15 seconds

Overall message

We would like to show both teachers and students here at Mckinney North how to properly use an Epinephrine Pen. Learning how to use this pen can play an important role in saving a person's life. With proper guidance and practice a person can learn to use this pen fairly quickly.
