The climax arrives when the man keeps driving after the woman, then stops the cab to find the ring he accidentally lose. After having found the ring, he keeps driving, this time only to find the severe traffic blocking all his ways. The woman, while waiting desperately to get away from the traffic, suddenly sees the man running to her direction.

Richard and Miss Lantry meet. He apologizes her for the losing the ring. She then asks to see the ring and finally accepts his love.

Irony

Kelly comes to see Anthony to ask for more money.

Anthony gives him 13000 for making the traffic jam.

The rising action comes into two streams, the advices of His father and Aunt Ellen. Richard agrees with Aunt Ellen and does according to her advice.

The reader knows that money still works effectively its own way.

The story is about Old Anthony Rockwall has attitude that money can buy everything but Richard tells his father that there’re some things that money can’t accomplish. Richard is fall in love with Miss Lantry but he doesn’t enough chance to stay with her because she’s going to sail for Europe for 2 years and he is to see her alone tomorrow evening for a few minutes. Richard tells his father that we can’t one minute with cash but Anthony still advises him that money can buy everything.

That night, Anthony and Aunt Ellen begin discourse on the subject of Richard. Aunt Ellen takes an old gold ring and gives it to Richard then he phones for his cab. Then he captures Miss Lantry. At thirty-Fourth Street, He orders the cabman to stop because he has dropped the ring. In less than a minute he is back in the cab with the ring but within that a minute a crosstown car has stopped directly in front of the cab blocked in a mess of vehicles and horses. He is very sorry for Miss Lantry because he made her late. Aunt Ellen tells Anthony that Richard was engaged with Miss Lantry. The next day Anthony Rockwall pays for Kelly who made the traffic-jam situation for his son.
