- Installing water efficent structures can save over $100 dollars a year in water bills
History
- The toilet was invented in 1853 by Joseph Adamson, NOT Thomas Crapper (contrary to urban legend)
- Used pressure and gravity to flush
- Used about 7 gallons of water
- In 1992 President George H. W. Bush signed the Energy Policy Act, which states hat toilets cannot consume more than 1.6 gallons per flush.
