Biodiversity hotspot is well known for it's rare and unique flora and fauna that is facing lots of threats from ongoing human activities in the region.

Some examples of interactions within the environment are biotic and biotic elements and abiotic and biotic elements.

The impacts of human activities and technologies

- Since Europeans first began to arrive, 40% of the trees remain due to logging.

- Major threats include logging, plantation development, and the replacement of native tree species with fast growing and more profitable species.
