8. The effluent that was exposed to air is diverted in the soil stack of each floor.

9. The aerator scatters the effluent in drops wherein they are mixed with air.

10. At the bottom portion, the aerated effluent is compacted. Air that is piling up at this point may cause pressure but it is relieve by providing an air discharge pipe.

THE SOVENT SYSTEM

Mechanics of Sovent System

The Sovent System is an improvement of the traditional Two line drainage system. While the later maintain a separate line of ventilating the system, the former eliminate the use of this ventilation line, but still maintained the balance atmospheric pressure inside the pipe.

The Sovent Dearator Consists of:

1. Air seperation chamber with internal nose piece

2. A stack inlet.

3. A pressure relief outlet at the top

4. A stack out outlet at the bottom.

How The Sovent System Functions

The Sovent System

3. The Sovent Function is to change the solid nature of effluent by scattering them into drops.

4. Gases are push down ahead of it creating a suction.

5. This negative pressure has to be neutralized.

6. The Sovent System reduces the positive and negative pressure to bring the atmospheric pressure value down.

7. This sovent action is done at each floor where the aerator is installed.

The Sovent System is a recent development in drainage installation suitable for tall buildings. This new concept in plumbing, has almost completely eliminates the vent stack and other forms of ventilation, but still attained the desired functions and eefectiveness.

1. A large amount of waste and sewage discharges from the upper floor fixtures create pressure and sunction.

2. The downward force classified as plus pressure, will induce back flow of water seal in the lower fixtures. Likewise, the suction force called minus pressure will siphon and pull down the water seal.

The Sovent System

Materials and Design

Aerator and Deaerator

It was introduced by Fritz Sommer of Switzerland. It was first presented in 1962 when tested to a 10 storey drainage tower which resulted in satisfactory performance.

Today, the sovent system is already accredited by major Plumbing Code Models of major cities of large countries.

Brain at work

The Aerator is used as terminal of the soil branch in each floor and the Deaerator is installed at the bottom portion of the soils tack where the house drain is connected to receive the discharge from the aerator.

The sovent system is nothing more then the use of aerator and deaerator fittings incorporated into the ordinary plumbing pipe installations.

The original material used for sovent is copper, attributed to its proven record of quick and trouble free installation.
