EARTH, SEA, SKY
Earth, Sky and Sea comprising Nature's Trinity
Interacting with each other continuously
Water from earth and sea becomes clouds in the sky
Returning as rain, sleet and snow as time goes by
A delicate balance exists between all three
Which must be maintained to preserve the harmony
Man-made pollution on earth reaches sea and sky
Threatening human existence both far and nigh
The Trinity is embedded in you and me
And we are all embedded in the Trinity
Its matter feeds and sustains the human body
Which returns to it at the end of life's journey
All the life forms are infused with the Trinity
Whether it's creatures that frequent earth, sky or sea
For each is just a brief instant in life's journey
In it's passage through space, time and eternity

Cars

There are many colored cars
Tylers's car is as red as an apple
Andy's car is as blue as the sky
So many colors
Your feet smell so bad
Just like limburger cheese
That I’m holding my nose tight
Between my two knees.”

Lover of justice, chewing gum, reading, and Alabama summers
Who feels outrage when her dad is maligned, happiness when school is over, and fright on a dark Halloween night.
Who needs her dad's acceptance, Jem's loyalty, and Dill's admiration
Who gives friendship easily, black eyes to cousins, and sassy words to Calpurnia
Who fears Boo's dark house, owls in the night, and giving her open palms to the teacher
Who would like to see all mockingbirds sing freely whether they are creatures of flight, shy neighbors, or kind handymen

External-Rhymes at the end of every other line
By Dan Beachy-Quick
Internal rhyme
The field blank in snow. But I mean this page.
Now print mars the surface to make surface
Seen. Sheen only error brings. Perfect rage
So the sun rises. Rage is your slow practice
That makes of every day another day
In whose gathering promise the shy sparrows
Shiver instead of sing. I want to go away.
See these footsteps? These black shapes in the snow?
If there is a word for them, it’s no word
I know. Pursuit?, no. Proof?, no. Don’t call it fear.
Could I cross this white sheet if I were coward,
Edge to edge, margin to margin, never
Referring to anything outside itself?—
Stop that. Stop pointing to the photo on the shelf.
Vowel sound close enough to sound repeated.
(The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe)
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of someone gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door…..
Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December;
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; – vainly I had sought to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow – sorrow for the lost Lenore…
