The Nile River is regarded as the longest river in the world. At 6,853km the river runs through eleven different countries, being the main water supply for all of them in ancient times and in fact the Nile river still remains the primary water source for Egypt and Sudan. For hundreds of years the Nile river was also the primary food source to people in ancient times. The river is very significant to ancient Egypt as many of its historical sites are located along the banks of it, including the capital city of Egypt, Cairo. Over 40 million people (half of Egypt's population) live in the Nile Delta region. The Nile Delta region is the part of the river that spans out close to the end of the water flow. The Nile river is featured in this tour because it was and still is one of the most important parts of Egypt, as the primary water supply, thousand of people in Egypt would not be able to survive. Particularity in ancient times when there was no other water supply options, without the Nile, no one would have survived in the harsh heat.
Tutankhamen was an Egyptian Pharaoh that ruled Egypt of the 18th dynasty . Tutankhamen is an artifact featured in the Egyptian museum. He is known for being the youngest pharaoh to rule Egypt, Tutankhamen also known as "king tut" inherited the throne at age 9-10. King Tut not only ruled Egypt at a young age he also died at the very young age of 18. For many decades it was uncertain as to how Tutankhamen died, Many are spectacle that king Tut was assassinated but scientists have proven that king tut's death was accidental. A CT scan showed that Tutankhamen fractured his leg shortly before his death, the leg became badly infected. DNA testing showed that malaria was in his system causing his death. Tutankhamen was and still remains mummified. He was found in what is known as the tomb of Tutankhamen and currently lays in the Museum of Egyptian antiques. Tutankhamen is featured in this tour because he is very famous amongst Egypt because of was the youngest ruling Pharaoh, he is
also famously known because of the treasures surrounding his mummified body.
The Great Sphinx of Giza commonly refereed to as the Sphinx is a statue of couchant sphinx, a couchant sphinx is a mythical creature that features a lion's head with a humans body. This statue is a limestone structure, the sphinx is the largest monolith statue in the world, standing at 241 feet ( 73.5 m) long and 63 feet ( 19.3 m) wide. The face of the great Sphinx of Giza is believed that it is the face of ancient Pharaoh Khafra. The sphinx does not currently look as it did when it was built, there are many stories and different beliefs as to what happened to the Sphinx's nose. Many believe that it was blown of by a cannon ball fired by one of napoleons soldiers and others believe that an incident occurred way before napoleons time. One Egyptian Arabic historian believes that in the 15th century a young Muslim man destroyed it as vandalism. Although it is not yet certain as to what actually happened to the Sphinx's nose it is featured in this tour as it is a national icon for Egypt and it has many beliefs towards the mythical creature it is represented to be.
The pyramid of Giza (the pyramid in the center of the image) is the oldest and largest pyramid out of the three. It is also the oldest of the seven wonders of the world. Reaching heights of 481 feet ( 146.5 m) the great pyramid of Giza was the tallest man made structure for over 3,800 years. The Pyramids were originally covered in casing stones, this left a smooth surface on the faces of the pyramids, but today this smooth outer layer does not remain due to many years of damage and harsh weather what is seen now is the underlying core surface. The great Pyramids of Giza are featured on this tour because the pyramids are the face of Egypt, They are the symbol that represents Egypt. For many people the pyramids is all they think about when they think of Egypt, these are remarkable architectural structures that are possibly the most important site in Egypt.

The museum of Egyptian antiques is located in Cairo the capital city of Egypt. It is one of the most visited tourist sites in Egypt and the museum contains many treasures from the King Pharaoh Tutankhamen. The Egyptian Museum is featured in this tour because it is the place that holds all of artifacts and historic objects of Egypt, this museum holds the history of Egypt and it keeps all of the items of the Egyptian past safe.
