Council House Fight

The Comanche had enough of the raids so they wanted to sign a peace treaty with the Texans so they took a trip to the council house to work out their issues with the problem. When they arrived the Texans greeted the indian chief mukrawah, the Texans then had a starting deal with the captives about handing them over. Although the chief didn't bring all of them he only brought a few one of the captives a teenage girl named Matilda Lockhart said there were more than fifteen more captives. That angered the Texans and demanded to hand them over the chief then said he had no control over that. The Texans then held everybody hostage until the chief found a way to bring them. The chief then called for help from indians outside and what was supposed to end up as an agreement ended up in fighting. After the fighting was done 35 Comanche lay dead including 12 chiefs, 3 women and 2 Children. Also 7 Texans died. This fight canceled out any chance of peace. After the word got through to the Comanche tribe they were out raged with anger. They decided to send a message by attacking the Texans killing 20 or more, burning houses, and stealing supplies and livestock.

Lamar polices

Lamar polices angered the indians because they had homes and adapted to the land so Lamar sent Jhon.H.Moore and W.M.Eastland to ambush camps and indian tribes the indians were very tired of the ambushes. The reason that this started is because Lamar didn't like indians because he thought they were a waste of space in land.
