The trip exceeded my expectations. Our clinics treated hundreds of patients while I provided a total of 50 hours of service. I improved my ability to speak spanish, made new friends, and confirmed my decision to pursue a career in the medical field.

I made the trip with 12 other students from the RHS program at SUU. We partnered with SRI, a non-profit organization, to provide such service.
I completed this trip as a part of the EDGE program at SUU. The EDGE program is designed to provide a structure to experiential learning opportunities. This platform is a graduation requirement and will support my long-term professional plans.
My motivation for the trip was to show my interest in healthcare and service, particularly to those in under served communities, to make me a better applicant for medical school.
