Each "semester", each NJHS member is responsible for logging a personal five hours of service time. This time is spent in the community lending a hand, being supportive or helping raise funds.
In January of 2012, the Millennium Charter Academy chapter of National Junior Honor Society inducted ten new members. Davis Wood, Julia Rose Southern, Riley Cullen, and Amber Golding, Ana Sapp, Lindley Williams, Delaney Luke, Sarah Shepherd, John Brook, and Madison Meadows.
Also this year, we spent our second bit of service hours collecting toys and gifts and wrapping our special delivery to Grace.
National Junior Honor Society is the nation's premier organizations established to recognize outstanding middle school level students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serve to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character and Citizenship. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since their beginnings.
This year, National Junior Honor Society, as a group has spent our five hours of service for each semester focusing on community within our school. This year we spent our first five hours by raising money in our "Pumpkin Patch" sale.
In January of 2013, the Millennium Charter Academy chapter of National Junior Honor Society inducted Abbi, Abigail, Claudia, Henry, Jacob. New members will be added to the chapter annually each year.
