Touch its history.. The city Kayseri which takes its name from Emperor Caesar has been inhabited since 3000 BC by many civilisations such as Hittites, Romans, Byzantines, Seljuks , Ottomans and finally Modern Turkish Republic. It was also capital city of Anatolian Seljuk Sultanate.
Its being on Great Silk Road enabled Kayseri being one of the major trade centers and meeting point of different cultures and religions.
